For detailing and PPF, mobile mechanics and car sales
Every car you take in, signed and sealed.
Before a detail or a wrap, at a pick-up for repair, or at a sale, you walk round the car with your customer, mark any existing damage and both sign on your iPhone. KeySigned then seals the record, so any later change shows.

What is KeySigned
KeySigned is an iPhone app for UK businesses that take in or hand over customers' cars: detailing, paint protection film and wrap studios, mobile mechanics who collect and return cars, car sales, and garages and body shops. You and your customer walk round the car together, take eight guided photos, mark any existing damage on them and both sign on the iPhone. KeySigned then seals the record, so any later change to a photo, mark or reading shows. Your customer gets the record page and a .zip evidence pack, and can check the record with it in an up-to-date browser at keysigned.app/verify, with no account and nothing uploaded. Capture, signing and sealing work with no signal. Records stay on your iPhone, and aren't backed up, until you export them. KeySigned is coming soon to the App Store.
How it works
Demonstration record, shortened. The car and some screens are illustrations.
The walk-round
You and your customer walk round the car together. KeySigned guides you to eight photos, one from each angle, and checks each for focus, light and framing. You mark any existing damage on the photos of that car and add a close-up.
Two signatures
You sign, then hand the iPhone to your customer, who signs the same version of the record. Any change after signing needs fresh signatures from you both.
The seal
KeySigned seals the record with a key held on your iPhone. Any later change to a photo, mark or signature shows when the record is checked. Your customer gets the record page and the .zip evidence pack, and checks the .zip in an up-to-date browser at keysigned.app/verify. Records stay on your iPhone and aren't backed up, so export the ones you need.
Each opens the checker with a demonstration record. Nothing is uploaded.

Coming soon to the App Store
- Handovers in progress
- Without an active plan, you can still finish, sign and seal a handover within 48 hours of starting it. After that, it needs a plan to sign and seal, and it waits on your iPhone until then.
- Return legs
- The return leg of a car you've already collected is never charged.
- Your records
- Records you've already sealed stay readable, checkable and exportable whatever happens to your plan.
The evidence pack
Once the record is sealed, you send your customer their copy from the iPhone by WhatsApp, email, iMessage or AirDrop. They receive the record page and a .zip evidence pack.
- The signed PDF
- Headed with your business details once you add them, with the vehicle, the mileage, the views of the car, each damage mark with its close-up, and both signatures.
- The original files
- Every photo and close-up from the walk-round, and both signatures.
- The seal
- A fingerprint of every file in the record, signed with the key held on your iPhone.
Your customer checks it at keysigned.app/verify, in an up-to-date browser. The check runs in the browser itself, so nothing is uploaded and no account is needed.

Questions
Does my customer need the app?
No. You send them the record page and the .zip evidence pack. They open the checker at keysigned.app/verify in an up-to-date browser and add the .zip. Nothing is uploaded, and they need no account.
Does it work without a signal?
Yes. Capture, signing and sealing all run on the iPhone. You need a connection to send your customer their copy (AirDrop works without one) and for the address suggestion, which you can type instead.
Which iPhones does it work on?
Any ARKit-capable iPhone running iOS 17 or later. On iPhone Pro models with LiDAR you can also choose a spatial scan.
What does the seal show?
Whether anything in the record has changed since you both signed. It does not identify who signed, which is why both signatures are taken in person.
How is it different from other handover apps?
Several apps offer a guided walk-round, damage marks, two signatures and offline use. KeySigned does those too, and seals the record so any later change shows. Your customer can check the seal for themselves with the evidence pack, in an up-to-date browser. If that matters to you, ask any app you compare how your customer would check its record. See how handover apps compare.
